Christine P. Eng
Christine P. Eng is a New York City-based artist whose work is deeply influenced by her Cambodian heritage and the resilience of her family, survivors of the Khmer Rouge. Their strength echoes throughout her themes, processes, and her commitment to creating work with depth and intention. The pieces presented in this exhibit represent a step toward honoring her Cambodian legacy. Eng’s art weaves elements of her cultural roots with the flowing elegance of Art Nouveau, resulting in a style that feels both experimental and deeply personal. On her body of work, Eng explores a range of techniques, sculpting, drawing, painting, and printmaking, often with a touch of dark whimsy inspired by animated films.
